Weather Center Forecast
Receive weather information for a specific location by using the location identifiers in the drop down box above and entering the corresponding location information in the box to the right as follows:
- Chart Number
- Light ID Number
- Latitude and Longitude
- Place—type a name such as sarasota, fl with a comma
- Weather Buoy
- Zip Code
After you have entered a location, click on either the Forecast or Plot button.
Forecast Button
Clicking on the Forecast button brings up the following information for the location:
- Current conditions
- Brief forecast
- Weather Stations map
- Weather Zones map
- Radar image link
- Detailed long-term forecast
Clicking on land areas will bring up the long-term land forecast, while clicking anywhere on the water (blue) areas will bring up the long-term marine forecast.
Plot Button
Clicking on the Plot button brings up that location’s weather map and a series of short-range forecast maps for a larger area.
