Float Plan Response MariGuard members receive special monitoring of their float plans. As a member, when you submit an online float plan, our dynamic, global monitoring process is triggered, enabling MariSafe to track your progress against your itinerary.   Your float plan guardians are alerted by email or phone after midnight of any day you fail to check in at a waypoint, allowing them to contact emergency personnel on your behalf. MariSafe does not alert authorities directly as your float plan guardians are more attuned to your activities. Your friends and family may initiate emergency proceedings at any time, and MariSafe will assist them if they request our help.  MariSafe also aids emergency personnel by allowing them access to your information by fax or email at their request. Float Plan Privacy Your profile and float plan are confidential and will not be shared with anyone other than your float plan guardians and search and rescue personnel, if and only if they request our assistance.
