Like all Icom radios, the M402 is a
well-built, top-performing, reliable communications tool. It’s a compact radio
with a big display and exceptional audio quality for a radio this size. A
simple, dedicated DSC (Digital Selective Calling) switch allows even nonusers to
send a formatted distress signal. Scrolling channel labels like “USCG” and
“DISTRESS” that show the current channel’s function help you—and any
novices aboard—select the proper channel in emergencies.
